Rudy Giuliani Suing President Biden for ‘Russia’ Comment He Made 3 Years Ago – Full Story

Rudy Giuliani is suing President Joe Biden for something that he said almost 3 years ago. Biden called Giuliani a “Russian pawn” during a Presidential debate, and it doesn’t sound like the former New York City mayor is over it.

Rudy Giuliani’s Latest Legal Battle

Rudy Giuliani has endured his fair share of legal battles over the last couple of years. He is, for example, facing felony racketeering charges in Georgia at the moment. But his latest legal battle is one he’s starting on his own.

Filing a Lawsuit Against the President

Giuliani has decided to file a lawsuit against President Joe Biden. It stems from a comment Biden made about the former New York City mayor almost 3 years ago.

What Did President Biden Say?

President Biden was taking part in a Presidential debate in Nashville back in 2020 when he took aim at Giuliani at one point.

“Russian Pawn”

During the debate, Biden accused Giuliani of working with the Russians in an attempt to help get Donald Trump reelected. “Rudy Giuliani, he’s being used as a Russian pawn,” Biden said. “He’s being fed information that is Russian, that is not true.”

Biden continued to go in on Giuliani in the middle of the debate. “And then what happens? Nothing happens,” he said. “And then you find out that everything is going on here about Russia is wanting to make sure that I do not get elected the next President of the United States because they know I know them and they know me.”

Giuliani Dismisses Biden’s Claim

During a press conference to announce his lawsuit against Biden, Giuliani said the claim that he was being used as a “Russian pawn” wasn’t true. He also said he has been personally harmed by the comment and wants to be compensated for it.

Is Giuliani Telling the Truth?

Some people in the legal community don’t think Giuliani has a very strong case. Reports that were released in 2021 seemed to suggest there was a connection between Giuliani and a lawmaker with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. It could doom his lawsuit from the start.

Possible Payback

Others have insinuated Giuliani might be trying to get revenge against President Biden’s son Hunter by filing a lawsuit.

Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit against Giuliani in recent weeks. In his lawsuit, Hunter claims that Giuliani and another lawyer gained unauthorized access to data on a laptop computer that was left at a Delaware computer repair shop.

Despite the timing of his lawsuit, Giuliani said that he didn’t file it against President Biden because of the lawsuit Hunter Biden filed against him. He also denied all the claims made in Hunter’s lawsuit.

Who Is Paying for All This?

All of this is taking place at the worst possible time for Giuliani. He’s been facing financial troubles as of late.

Tax Troubles

For starters, the IRS just filed a lien against one of Giuliani’s properties. They claim he owes more than $500,000 in back taxes.

Late on Lawyer Payments

Giuliani is also facing yet another lawsuit filed by his former attorneys who are claiming that he stiffed them for over $1 million.

The Show Must Go On

But it sounds like Giuliani has at least one lawyer who is willing to represent him. His attorney Lou Diamond was by his side when he announced his lawsuit against Biden, and he said he doesn’t plan on leaving Giuliani high and dry at any point.

Friends Until the Very End?

“When I say he’s my friend, he is my friend,” Diamond said. “And he’s the friend of the country. He is America’s mayor.”
