Israeli Minister Claims London Is the Most Anti-Semitic City in the West

London has been slammed as the most anti-Semitic city in the West by a minister from Israel, claiming that freedom of expression in Britain has been lost.

A minister from Israel has made the claim that London is the worst city in the West for anti-Semitic beliefs and abuse.

Amichai Chikli’s words come after mass protests against Israel’s alleged war crimes against the people of Palestine.

Chikli made these remarks during a press conference with European journalists in Jerusalem, where he suggested that in the UK the right to speak freely has been diminished.

In the UK last year alone, over 4000 separate anti-Semitic cases were reported to the police according to research from a Jewish charity.

Many are also concerned about the rise in Islamophobia in the UK, with one charity claiming that there have been 2040 cases from October 2023 to January 2024.

Chikli argued that “The anti-Semitism we see today in the West is the worst since the 1930s” with London allegedly being at the forefront of the abuse.

Chikli praised London for its diverse history, hailing it as the “centre of Western civilization” before criticizing people’s freedom of speech in 2024.

Chikli noted that London is “the country of the Magna Carta and one of the leading democracies of the West” that has a “rich legacy of freedom of speech, of human rights.”

However, Chikli stated that he believes freedom of speech in the UK is in jeopardy, “what is happening now in Britain is that freedom of speech no longer exists,” he argued.

After criticizing Britain’s right to freedom of expression, Chikli noted that “even the statue of Churchill needs its own security.”
