After being suspended by the Tories for “Islamophobic” comments, Lee Anderson switched his allegiance to a Party leader who he once called the “Pound Shop Nigel Farage.”
Lee Anderson Hits Out at Tice
Disgraced Tory MP Lee Anderson recently switched allegiance to Reform UK despite calling the Party’s leader, Richard Tice, a “Pound Shop Nigel Farage.”
Anderson’s Regular Attacks on Reform UK
Anderson, who was welcomed by the Reform UK leader after announcing his switch, recently made scathing attacks against the Party while being Deputy Chair of the Conservatives.
“Pound Shop Nigel”
Anderson recently made the comparison of Reform UK leader Richard Tice, calling him a “Pound Shop Nigel Farage”, implying that Tice is inferior to the former Brexit Party leader.
Reform UK “Not A Proper” Party
Anderson also launched an attack on the Party itself, slamming it as “not a proper political party” and instead branding it nothing but a “company.”
Anderson Announces Switch
Despite these attacks on Reform UK, Anderson recently teamed up with Tice to announce Anderson’s defection to the right-wing reincarnation of the Brexit Party.
Tice Says “Ridiculous Things”
When asked about Tice in a previous interview, Anderson insisted “I think he’s a pound shop Nigel Farage” arguing that “every time he opens his mouth” he says “ridiculous things.”
Anderson Slams Tice as “Diane Abbott”
Lee Anderson argued that Tice was “Reform’s answer to Diane Abbott,” the former Shadow Health Secretary who was recently racially abused by a Tory donor.
Tice “Not The Leader” Farage Was
Although admitting that Tice and Anderson got on “reasonably well,” Anderson admitted, “he’s not the leader that Nigel Farage was.”
Anderson Suspended From Tory Party
Anderson was suspended as the Conservative’s Deputy Chair due to his inflammatory comments regarding the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
Anderson’s Controversial Comments
Anderson told a reporter he believed that Khan had allowed “his mates” to take “control” over London, who he referred to as “Islamists.”
Calling For Change
Anderson later insisted that he was referring to the pro-Palestinian protestors, who he believes should not be allowed to roam the streets of Khan’s city.
Khan Criticizes Tory Party Response
Sadiq Khan himself blasted Anderson’s comments, shaming them as “Islamophobic” and Anti-Muslim,” before criticizing the Party’s response to the remarks.
“I Want My Country Back”
In his first address since making the switch to Reform UK, Anderson made the statement, “I want my country back” referring to the pro-Palestinian protestors.
“That’s Just Politics, Darling”
When questioned about his previous remarks towards Richard Tice and Reform UK, Anderson dismissed them as “banter” and insisted “That’s just politics, darling.”
Anderson’s Allegation of Bribery
Anderson insisted in his podcast, “Lagers with Lee” that Reform UK had offered him a large sum of money to join them back in October, which he reportedly denied.
Anderson Offered “A Lot Of Money”
Anderson had told listeners, “Now there is a political party that begins with an R that offered me a lot of money to join them. I say a lot of money, I mean a lot of money.”
Anderson Claims No Money Was Taken
Despite these allegations, Anderson insisted that he had not been offered a penny to join Reform UK this time round, insisting that they spoke his “language.”
Tice Denies Bribery Claims
Tice denied claims that any money was offered to Anderson, arguing that “let me make it absolutely clear: no cash or money has in any way been offered.”
Tice Calls Anderson a “Desperate Tory”
Tice went on to lambast Anderson, arguing that “Desperate Tories will make desperate lies to save their skin,” placing Anderson in that category.
Anderson is Tice’s “Champion” of the North
Although they have clearly got some differences, Reform UK leader Richard Tice welcomed Anderson to the party, praising him as a “Champion” of the “Red Wall.”
