“When Jeremy Corbyn was leader of the Labour Party, I’m afraid that antisemitism was rife within the Labour Party,” Reeves admitted.
Equalities and Human Rights Commission Investigates
Reeves cited the investigation, “we were investigated by the Equalities and Human Rights Commission over the treatment of Jewish people,” she said.
Corbyn’s Reluctance to Admit Faults
Following the investigation, Reeves asserted that Corbyn’s refusal to admit wrongdoing was part of the reason for his suspension.
Jeremy Corbyn “Sadly Refused” Anti-Semitism Acknowledgment
According to Reeves, “Jeremy Corbyn sadly refused to acknowledge what had happened in the Labour Party and his role within it.”
Corbyn “No Longer a Labour MP”
With the investigation still ongoing, Reeves confirmed that Corbyn would not be making a return, “He’s no longer a Labour MP and he will not be the Labour candidate at the next election,” she said.
Abbott Makes Public Apology
Diane Abbott, who is also under investigation for anti-semitism, has since apologised for her involvement and admitted wrongdoing.

Despite this apology, Abbott is still not welcomed back into the Party and is clearly aggrieved by this, as her recent comments show.
