The MP in question, Natalie Elphicke, is particularly disliked among the Labour ranks for her right-wing political views, but that’s not all.

Natalie Elphicke has also been under fire recently for her role in her husband’s legal case, where he allegedly committed violence towards a woman.
Abbott Applauds Apology
Elphicke has since apologised for her role in the case, which the suspended Labour MP Dianne Abbott applauded her for.
Questioning Starmer’s Decision
Diane Abbott posted on social media, “Natalie Elphicke is right to apologise” although questioned Starmer’s approach.
Starmer’s “Unusual” Decision
“The decision to accept it 5 years after she first said it is unusual. Not everyone is treated with such generosity,” she posted.
Double Standards Accusation
Abbott was referring to herself, implying that she hasn’t been treated the same as Natalie Elphicke by the Labour Party during her investigation.
